Dreambear was approached by Fabletics and Yitty to create a vibrant and nostalgic swimwear
campaign for Lizzo’s brand, YITTY. Initially slated for digital release, the campaign's
overwhelming success led to its expansion onto linear and streaming platforms. The project
aimed to blend the iconic 90s aesthetic of Lisa Frank with Lizzo's unique flair, producing a series
of captivating and cohesive visual assets.
We were tasked with producing a 30 second launch video, a series of dynamic GIFs, still
photographs, and a behind the scenes video withs footage captured over the course of a 1x day
shoot.
The creative direction required a seamless fusion of Lisa Frank’s vibrant, whimsical style with
Lizzo’s contemporary, empowering brand identity of body positivity. This involved capturing the
nostalgic essence of the 90s aesthetic while integrating modern elements and Lizzo's personal
touches.
Key elements included:

- Subtle yet impactful branding elements from Yitty and Lizzo
Dreambear leveraged 3D software to model, rig, and texture assets, creating high-end 3D
characters and backgrounds. This process and technology allowed for the precise and detailed
rendering required to authentically evoke Lisa Frank’s distinct aesthetic, while creating
something unique and original.
The 1-minute launch video was the campaign's highlight. Dreambear meticulously crafted a
blend of live-action and animated elements, bringing to life a fantastical world including stunning
3D-rendered backgrounds filled with rainbows, stars, and holographic patterns. High-end 3D
characters, including a talking dolphin voiced by Vanessa Mateo, added a dynamic and
whimsical touch. Dreambear also incorporated easter eggs, hidden elements like a Yitty logo
constellation in the sky provided a fun and engaging layer for viewers to discover.
The BTS video offered a glimpse into the creative process behind the campaign. Capturing 1
day shoot with Lizzo and a look behind the curtain at the technology used to bring the campaign
to life.
