Dreambear Brings Diablo II Back to Life with bbno$ and GUT LA
When Blizzard Entertainment set out to celebrate the first major update to Diablo II: Resurrected in 26 years, they didn't take the conventional advertising route. They called on a genuine superfan — viral Canadian rapper bbno$ — and tapped Dreambear directors Sterling Larose and Rafael Perez to bring it all to life on screen.
The result is "Save Me," an original track and music video that dropped globally on March 3rd, developed in partnership with creative agency GUT Los Angeles. Dreambear creatives Sterling Larose and Rafael Perez co-directed, combining their talents to bring bold visual storytelling to one of gaming's most iconic universes.
Bbno$ is more than a casual collaborator here — the artist has logged north of 300 days played in Diablo II and has been hosting LAN parties for years, so when Blizzard wanted to mark the launch of the Reign of the Warlock DLC, he was a natural fit. The video casts bbno$ as the Warlock himself, blending cinematic live action with game-inspired animation and lore references deep enough to reward even the most devoted players.
